The problem, and how we fix it

Who do you call when IT breaks?

Nobody owns IT, so issues pile up, updates get skipped, and files and access grew without a plan.

How we fix it: We run your IT day to day: help desk, updates, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, with files moved to the cloud and access set by team.

Today: No one owns ITNext: One team to call

Before

After

Who it's for

Growing businesses without a full-time IT person, where the owner or office manager handles laptops, Microsoft 365, and file access in between their real job.

An illustrative example

A 40-person firm has no IT person. A manager fixes laptops between meetings, files live on an office server reached over a VPN, and nobody tracks licenses. We take over day-to-day support, set up updates and backups, move the files into SharePoint with access by team, and review what is open together on a regular schedule.

What better looks like: One team to call, devices kept up to date, and files in one organized place with the right access.

Illustrative example. Not a customer project.

Sound familiar?

  • Staff ask a coworker when something breaks
  • Updates and renewals happen when someone remembers
  • New hires wait for accounts and laptops
  • Nobody is sure who can open the finance or HR folders
  • The office server is the only place some files exist

What's included

  • Help desk and user support

One place for your team to ask for help, with each request tracked until it is resolved.

  • Device and update management

Laptops, desktops, and phones set up the same way, with updates applied on an agreed schedule.

  • Microsoft 365 administration

Users, licenses, mailboxes, Teams, and sharing settings looked after for you.

  • Backups and monitoring

Backups of key files and mailboxes checked regularly, and alerts watched so problems are caught early.

  • Onboarding and offboarding

New staff get accounts, devices, and access when they start, and leavers lose access when they go.

  • Vendor and license coordination

We deal with your internet provider, software vendors, and license renewals, so your team does not have to.

  • Regular reviews

Scheduled check-ins on open issues, upcoming renewals, and what to improve next.

  • Clear response expectations

Coverage hours and how quickly we respond are agreed in writing before work starts.

Also included: SharePoint and Microsoft 365

When files still live on an office server or shared drives, we move them into SharePoint and Microsoft 365 and keep them organized.

  • Review what you have

Where files live today, how much there is, and which folders matter most.

  • Structure and naming

Sites and libraries organized around how your teams actually work.

  • Permissions by team

Access set by group, so the right people see the right folders.

  • Planned migration

Files moved in batches from the local server or shared drives, checked after each move.

  • Teams and OneDrive fit

Clear guidance on what belongs in SharePoint, Teams, and personal OneDrive.

  • Simple forms and approvals

Where it helps, a request or approval step with Power Automate.

Deliverables

  • Notes from each regular review

What this does not cover

  • Coverage hours and response times are agreed in writing before work starts.
  • We work inside Microsoft 365 licenses you already have or choose to add.
  • Security testing and vulnerability management are part of our separate Cybersecurity service.
  • New Wi-Fi and network design are part of our Business Networks & Wi-Fi service.

How an engagement runs

Every engagement starts with a conversation, then a clear written scope.

  1. Understand

We look at how the work happens today and agree on the one problem to solve first.

  2. Agree the scope

You get a short written plan: what changes, what stays, and how we will check it worked.

  3. Build and check

We build in small steps and review each one with the people who will use it.

  4. Hand over

Your team gets plain notes and a walkthrough, so they can run it without us.

FAQs

What does managed IT cover?

We look after your IT day to day: help desk, devices and updates, Microsoft 365, backups, and monitoring. What is covered and how quickly we respond are agreed in writing before work starts.

Do you still move files to SharePoint?

Yes. Moving files from an office server or shared drives into SharePoint and Microsoft 365, with access set by team, is part of this service.

Will work be interrupted during the move?

We plan to keep interruptions short. A pilot group moves first, then files move in planned batches, and each team gets an agreed cutover window. Before each cutover we tell you what may be briefly unavailable, such as saving to the old location, and for how long.

Can you fix permissions without moving files?

Yes. If your files are already in SharePoint, we can review the structure and access and tidy it in place.

Do we have to replace our devices or software?

Not necessarily. We start with what you have and recommend changes only where they solve a real problem.

Is security part of this?

Day-to-day care such as updates and backups is. Security testing, vulnerability management, and penetration testing are part of our Cybersecurity service, and the two work together.
